Frederick Lampe brings an action oriented background in merchant - commercial transportation having held several positions as a licensed marine engineering officer aboard several steam commercial shipping vessels including companies such as Sealand, US Lines, Moore McCormick Lines, and Farrell Lines. He has wide-ranging knowledge with all the major shipping ports of the commercial world and has globally conducted business in the Pacific Rim, Northern Europe, Africa, and the Mediterranean.
Since beginning his tenure in business development over 25 years ago, Mr. Lampe has worked to transform the polymer manufacturing industry with such noted companies as AMF Hatteras Yachts, Sealed Air Corp, Buhrmann-Tettrode NV, Astro-Valcour, Inc., and Tenneco.
He has started, owned, and sold three companies of related plastics manufacturing processes, sharing his vision for global expansion along the way. Mr. Lampe has demonstrated considerable executive sales, marketing, engineering, production, and financial experience. He has exhibited a track record of successes starting with his first company. Mr. Lampe brings a wealth of knowledge and ambition in new production development and a keen ability to anticipate market and eco-changes.
A 1977 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point with a B.S. in Marine Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina in 1983, Mr. Lampe holds a U.S. Coast Guard Engineering License (unlimited horsepower) and is a former U.S. Naval Officer (retired).
